Also participating in the State Coalition for Remediation of Drycleaners (SCRD) conference call was Christine Hartnett from Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG).

Project Management/Technical Issues Subgroup

William Linn provided an update on the Project Management/Technical Issues Subgroup's activities. He said that 35 site profiles have been posted to the SCRD Web site, and he strongly encouraged call participants to continue with data compilation efforts. Dick DeZeeuw said that Richard Steimle (of EPA) plans to hire summer interns to assist in this work. Linn said that a drycleaner chemical database has also been created, and that a paper has been written to accompany it. Both will be posted on the SCRD Web site soon.

Program Development/Administration Subgroup

Doug Fitton, the Program Development/Administration Subgroup co-chair, was unable to attend the call. Linn offered an update in Fitton's place. Progress, he said, is being made on two fronts:

The Spring 2002 SCRD Meeting

The date and location for the next SCRD meeting have not been set yet. DeZeeuw said that he hopes to schedule the meeting for May 2002. DeZeeuw agreed to contact Steimle to find out if this is possible.

A 1½-day training session will be incorporated into the next SCRD meeting; Craig Dukes has been working on the agenda for this session. Dukes said that three themes have been identified:

Linn encouraged those who are planning to present information to summarize their talks in short papers that can be posted on the SCRD Web site.

In the past, DeZeeuw said, SCRD members have set up booths and given talks at a variety of conferences. Call participants decided to continue participating in these types of outreach efforts and identified three conferences that would be useful to attend:
