UPDATE FROM THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
Bob Jurgens said that the Technical Committee is working on a remediation paper, the purpose of which is to discuss technologies that are being used to remediate chlorinated solvents at drycleaning sites. The goal is to release the paper at the March 2005 Association for Environmental Health and Sciences conference. Jurgens said that the Committee met via conference call on August 31, 2004, to discuss the paper's progress. He also noted that Committee members plan to write a significant portion of the paper when they meet face to face in Kansas City on September 27, 2004.

UPDATE FROM THE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT/ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
Steve Goins said that the Program Development/Administration Committee has completed a paper called "State Approaches for Drycleaner Remediation Program," which has been posted on the SCRD Web site. The Committee is now ready to launch a new project that focuses on resource allocation issues. Discussion about this project will commence when Committee members meet face to face in Kansas City. Goins said that a list of 14 topics has been compiled for Committee members to think about before coming to the Kansas City meeting. He asked Chris Hartnett to distribute this list to SCRD members before the end of the week. She agreed to take care of this action item.

THE KANSAS CITY MEETING
