EPA Welcome - John Quander
Acknowledged receiving SCRD support letters from Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. EPA appreciated the support and plans to respond to the letters.

John confirmed that EPA will continue to support SCRD and is planning a late Fall SCRD meeting, possibly co-located with the EPA TSP conference. This would allow a possible joint TSP/SCRD plenary session, followed by a couple days of SCRD-only meetings. TSP normally does a ½ day field trip, but SCRD members did not indicate much support for participation in a field trip. Each SCRD meeting attendee receiving EPA funding assistance would be expected to be listed on the meeting agenda and actively participate in a panel discussion, present a case study or other help in other meeting functions, such as being a moderator. The preliminary time frame is November 2009. A work assignment has been prepared for support from EMS. The web site support will continue as well.

John indicated 10-year paper will be e-mailed to the newsletter subscription list and up to 20 copies will be mailed to each state. Jurgens will send the lists to John (done 3/19/09).

Cost and performance case studies: Florida and Virginia provided possible case studies for EPA to evaluate. DNAPL Projects, Thermal remediation, ISCO, etc.

Jim Cummings, EPA has interest in sites where MNA has been abandoned due to a need to perform active remediation. Anyone with sites like this should contact John.

Outreach Subgroup Report - Scott Huckstep
Scott was able to get most of the electronic presentations for the 2006 Austin, TX meeting. The information had previously not been on the SCRD website. The next newsletter is planned for June 2009. Scott will send an April e-mail requesting state info, cleanup #s, etc.

Administrative Subgroup Report - Lisa Appel
The first 2 of 8 topics, Funding and Site prioritization have been gathered. A decision was made develop a paper for each topic vs. combining the topics under each state in the paper. When all the topics have been completed, then a summary will prepared.

Project Management/Technical Subgroup Report - Dan Switek
New Orleans presentations - Still waiting on presentations with text notes for submittal as pdf presentations on the SCRD web site. Continued goal is for all states to update and add new profiles. Need to make sure we manage the site profiles database.
